Jim is a principal consultant to Strategies for Tomorrow, Inc. (SFT). He brings to healthcare and health information networks over 30 years of experience in business consulting and enterprise planning that cross walks between technology, private business, not-for-profits, government and academia. This background enables Jim to help communities and organizations develop strategies that are effectively aligned with regional and national trends and counter trends. Because of his deep background in collaborative strategy, he has been particularly successful as an advisor to the leadership of emerging health information exchanges and the consultants serving them in such states as Indiana, Michigan, Delaware and Maryland.
Prior positions included Director of Midwest Operations for Electricore, Inc., managing multiple joint private-university advanced technology R&D projects; founding member and former Executive Vice President of TechPoint overseeing statewide technology economic development initiatives and special IT projects; President, Indiana Technology Partnership (predecessor organization to TechPoint); Partner with Arthur Anderson overseeing the Central Region Government Services Group; and senior level director at Hudson Institute (research/planning) for 19 years with several dozen books and monographs to his credit.
Jim completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri
and his masters and doctoral studies at Rutgers University, all
in Economics. He has an extensive list of publications, is deeply
involved on professional and community boards and committees, and
serves as a frequent public speaker on economic, business and public
policy issues.
