  • Camilla Hull Brown served as faculty for the State Alliance for e-Health’s 2nd Annual State Learning Forum, September 24 – 25, 2009, in Washington D.C. Governors sent state teams to this conference to develop strategies for implementing HITECH provisions and health information exchange in their states. /li>
  • President Obama has signed into law the $787 billion economic stimulus package, which includes $19.2 billion for healthcare IT. To keep up on the details and impact of this action, check out these links:
    • The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of the 111th Congress of the United States of America. Title XIII, the section dealing with health information technology can be found on pages 112-165.
    • eHealthInitiative offers a summary of the HIT provisions of this Act for eHI members on their website.

  • Jim Krauk and Camilla Hull Brown gave a presentation on the Harrisburg Health Information Exchange in February, 2009, to the Pennsylvania Health Information Exchange Summit sponsored by TechQuest-Pennsylvania.
  • Camilla Hull Brown facilitated the Colorado HIE Summit in January, 2009, which was sponsored by the Colorado Health Foundation.
